Paver Repair & Restoration
Cleaning, re-sanding, sealing, and repair for brick paver patios, walkways, and driveways across Troy, Oakland County, and Metro Detroit.
Most Tired Pavers Don't Need to Be Replaced
A paver surface that looks worn out is not automatically a failed one. Faded color, moss and staining, weeds in the joints, a sunken section by the downspout, a few cracked units — those are all repairable, and repairing them costs a fraction of a tear-out.
What decides the answer is the base. Michigan sees dozens of freeze-thaw cycles a year, and water trapped under a shallow or poorly drained base freezes, expands, and lifts the surface above it. Where the base is sound, we clean, reset, and restore. Where the base has failed, resetting pavers over it only buys a season or two, and we'll tell you that rather than sell you the smaller job twice.
Home & Hardscape is owner-operated, and our own crew does this work — no subcontracted cleaning outfits, no crews you've never met.
What We Do
Restoration & Repair Scope
Lifting & resetting settled pavers
Localized settling and unevenness can often be corrected by lifting the affected pavers, re-leveling the base material beneath them, and resetting them to grade.
Replacing cracked or damaged units
Unlike poured concrete, individual pavers can be pulled and swapped without disturbing the surrounding surface — a straightforward fix for a handful of cracked, chipped, or badly stained units.
Re-sanding joints
Weeds and washed-out joints mean the polymeric sand has deteriorated. We remove the old material, clean the joints, and re-sand with new polymeric sand.
Deep cleaning & sealing
Years of moss, staining, and fading are usually cosmetic. Deep cleaning followed by sealing restores color and protects the surface going forward.
Edge restraint repair
When perimeter pavers start creeping outward, the edge restraints need to be reinstalled or reinforced before the surface unravels from the outside in.
Base & drainage diagnosis
Widespread heaving, rocking pavers, or water pooling usually points to a failed base or grading problem. We tell you what is actually happening underneath before recommending work.
