How a project with Home & Hardscape actually works
A lot of the questions above come down to the same underlying concern: what is it actually like to hire this contractor? Here's the honest version of what working with us looks like, from first phone call to final walk-through.
1. Free in-home estimate
Evan personally meets you at your home anywhere in Oakland, Macomb, or Wayne County. We walk the space together, talk through what you want, and look at the real-world conditions that affect cost — drainage, grade, existing finishes, structural considerations, access for materials. You'll get honest feedback on what's worth doing, what isn't, and where the budget should go first.
2. Detailed written proposal
then a few business days later, you will receive a digital estimate that spells out scope, materials, timeline, and price — no vague line items, no "TBD" surprises mid-project. If you want options (different paver styles, tile grades, cabinet lines), we'll price them side-by-side so you can decide with real numbers in front of you.
3. Owner on-site, every day
Once work begins, Evan is the person on your property performing the job — not a foreman, not a rotating sub crew. Cassie keeps you in the loop on schedule, deliveries, and any decisions that come up. Most homeowners tell us this is the single biggest difference compared to past renovations they've lived through.
4. Final walk-through & warranty
Before we call a project done, we walk it together so anything that needs adjusting gets handled while we're still on-site. Our work is backed by a written warranty and we stand behind it — if something needs attention down the road, you call the same number you called for the estimate.
● Still Have Questions?
We'd rather answer them in person.
Every home, every yard, and every renovation budget is different. The most useful answers usually come from walking the actual space together — looking at the existing drainage before quoting a paver patio, checking moisture conditions before pricing a basement finish, or measuring the bathroom before committing to a tile layout. That's why our estimates are always free, on-site, and no-pressure.
