What's Included in a Kitchen Remodel
A kitchen remodel can mean anything from swapping out cabinet doors to taking the room down to the studs and starting over. Most projects fall somewhere in between.
Cosmetic refresh
New cabinet doors, hardware, countertops, and backsplash without moving anything structural. The fastest and most affordable way to update a dated kitchen. Most cosmetic refreshes take 1–2 weeks.
Mid-range remodel
New cabinets, countertops, flooring, backsplash, and updated lighting — same layout, everything replaced. The most common kitchen remodel scope for Metro Detroit homeowners. Takes 3–5 weeks.
Full gut remodel
Demo to the studs. New layout, new electrical, new plumbing, new everything. Best for kitchens with poor layouts, aging infrastructure, or significant damage. Takes 6–12 weeks depending on scope.

Cabinets
We install semi-custom and custom cabinetry from trusted suppliers. Cabinet choice has the biggest impact on both the look and the budget of a kitchen remodel. We help you choose based on your style, storage needs, and budget — not just what looks good in a showroom.
Countertops
Quartz is the most popular countertop choice for Metro Detroit kitchens — durable, low maintenance, and available in a wide range of styles. We also install granite, marble, butcher block, and laminate depending on budget and preference.
Backsplash
Tile, stone, or slab backsplash installed to complement your countertops and cabinets. We handle the tile work in-house — no separate tile contractor needed.
Flooring
Hardwood, LVP (luxury vinyl plank), tile, or refinished existing hardwood. We coordinate or install kitchen flooring as part of the remodel so everything gets done at the right time in the right sequence.
Lighting
Recessed lighting, under-cabinet lighting, and pendant fixtures over islands. Lighting is one of the highest-impact, lowest-cost upgrades in a kitchen remodel. We work with a licensed electrician for all electrical work.
Plumbing fixtures
New sink, faucet, and garbage disposal as part of the remodel. If your project involves moving the sink or adding a kitchen island with plumbing, we coordinate with a licensed plumber.
Appliances
We don't sell appliances, but we coordinate installation timing so your new appliances arrive and get set in place at the right point in the project. If you need appliance recommendations, we're happy to share what's worked well in past projects.

Initial consultation
We walk your kitchen, discuss what you want to change, and establish a realistic budget range before anything else.
Design & selections
Cabinet layout, countertop material, tile, flooring, and fixtures are selected. We provide a detailed scope of work and contract before demo begins.
Permits
Most kitchen remodels involving electrical or plumbing work require permits. We pull all required permits.
Demo
Existing cabinets, countertops, flooring, and anything being replaced is removed and disposed of.
Rough-in work
Electrical, plumbing, and any structural changes happen while walls are open.
Inspections
Rough-in work is inspected and approved before walls are closed.
Drywall & paint
Walls are closed, finished, and painted.
Cabinet installation
Cabinets are set, leveled, and secured.
Countertops
Countertops are templated after cabinet installation and installed 1–2 weeks later.
Tile, flooring & fixtures
Backsplash tile, flooring, lighting, and plumbing fixtures are installed.
Final trim & punch list
Trim, hardware, and final details are completed. We walk the finished kitchen with you before we consider the job done.
